Last Friday, on the second day of the Ministry of Higher Education's Semarak Kampus programme at UTM, the lab of Dr. Yap, one of AQSolotl's co-founders, had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation led by the Minister of Higher Education, Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.

Joining the Minister at his lab were Bhg. Datuk Prof. Dr. Azlinda Azman, Director-General of Higher Education, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Shafry bin Mohd Rahim, Vice-Chancellor of UTM, and members of UTM and Faculty of Science top management.

For us, this was an opportunity to show what a year of close collaboration between AQSolotl and UTM has already produced. AQSolotl and UTM have been operating under a Memorandum of Understanding since 2025, built around hands-on training and applied research in quantum control hardware. Under that partnership, we have already welcomed two interns into the team, with a third placement currently in the pipeline.

Having the Minister and UTM's senior leadership see that work in person, in the lab where it actually happens, matters.

Thank you to the Minister, the Ministry of Higher Education delegation, and UTM's leadership for taking the time to visit and engage directly with the work happening in our lab.
